Well I promised new pictures and here they are..
Well I was over taken with some pictures of a friends garden you can find him here on my friends if you want to take a look.. His name is Happy Pappy!! I have some pictures of last years harvest of flowers so I will show them off and then take this years for comparison..
I was so inspired on our vacation. Not only did we have such a great time, but I never get to watch much Christian TV, because for one I get turned off by it basically. However I was watching Joel Olsten and he was giving such a building up message like he always does and I felt so good. As I pondered on the message I wondered why so many Christians would give him such a hard time? I tried to pick apart his message like I do with a lot of preachers, cause I just don't swallow everything. I could not find one negative thing at all. Finally the Lord spoke to me in the still small voice through scripture. He brought to my attention, In the last days I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and daughters will prophesy. I said Lord is that what Joel is doing, prophesying? With another scripture he answered by taking me to Ezekiel, where God spoke to Ezekiel to speak to the dry bones that they would live again. As Ezekiel spoke the flesh begin to form on the dry bones! I was so overwhelmed by this that I wanted to preach and prophesy myself!!!
People need building up everywhere and everyone needs it. In the work place for instance you will get more out of people by building them up. You do not tear down and expect people to be encouraged. I watch Joel week after week encourage people and his church grows and grows. Imagine that? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Some may say I don't want a feel good religion? Would you rather go to church and come out week after week feeling bad? Not Me! We have a lot of dry bones around us so let us begin to speak life with encouragement one to another. We always think of prophesying as foretelling what is to take place. That too is a gift, but I know that God was speaking of the other type of prophesying in Ezekiel. This gift we can all function in. After all isn't it the greatest commandment, Love God with all your heart and to love thy neighbor as yourself?
I have a favorite verse, Galatians 2:21 in part, if righteousness comes by law, then Christ died in vain. What I get from this is; when we get saved God does the rest of the work. We preach the word and stay in the word and God will convict. There is no black or white to sin; sin is sin, but there are some things that may be wrong for one and not another. For example: If you really believe that going to a bowling alley is wrong in your heart, but you go anyway, you have sinned.. It was not the bowling alley that was sin; it was the rebellion within you, because in your heart you believed it to be wrong, so for you the rebellion was the sin! Now we cannot use this illustration to make sin not sin.. Shall we remain in sin that God may abound? God Forbid!!! Bottom line is we all start out as babes, and if we take them into our own hands we may crush them, so we need to allow God to do the work!
Well I did not know I was going to preach, but I guess I did, and I could go on.. If you think this is lengthy it was not, it may have taken 5 minutes to read, where it would have taken a preacher an hour or more so count your blessings!!! Love to you all!!
I'm free to do what I want any old time!!! Yeahhhh my boarders are gone!!! There is a messy trail behind to clean up too.. When ever you move there is always a lot of dirt and mess that you did not know that was lurking under beds, cabinets, and refrigerators.. I have new furniture coming on the 30th, but Monday they will be laying my new floors.. I have to paint a couple walls before then so my work is really cut out for me..
I told Steve he could do the cleaning while I did the painting. I had so much stuff piled in that basement and I cannot believe that I dragged all that stuff down there in the first place. I will appreciate a clean slate with less to clean. My son and his wife has lived with us for a year and we enjoyed their company most of the time, but there were some times that wasn't so good. You know how it goes when you have two families living together. I have told all my children that none of them could ever move back in unless there was a national catastrophe and that would be questionable!!!
They may think I'm kidding, but I'm not..... I have survived!!
Well folks I received an email today from a friend and she asked why I have not written... I told her that I really have to be inspired.. I wish I could write about everything I think, but I would get into trouble... I do not always go along with things that are taking place around me, but I have learned to keep my mouth shut.. Putting my 2 cents worth in never works anyway. So I must sit back and watch things eventually take place tragically!!!
However I was able to bless a sweet lady Sunday night. God had always spoke to me in the past to give to this lady, but I never had extra or so it would seem. Many of us have our finances tied up in debt that when God speaks we can't do it.. It is a terrible place to be in.. I have always given; ask my family.. This was something I had to do..
I watched, "The Oprah Give big show", and this is where we get our best blessings from.. The lady I blessed said she needed her medication and she said it was only 5 bucks.. When she looked the next morning at what I gave her she was so very thankful and said at the end of the month she always runs short and was able to go to the grocery.
Steve and I plan every payday to be able to discern someone in our congregation who we believe need help. I believe that this is what the church has been called to do. I believe that if the church at large got a hold of this idea we would not be able to contain the people that would be there!! Thanks, Sofia for the inspiration!!!
News Flash!!! I went to see the cardiologist Friday, and even though at the time of the angiogram they told me that my veins were narrow that was not the case!!! I was told that my heart, veins and everything around it was in perfect shape!!! Why did they tell me that my veins were narrow? Do they like to place worry on patients on purpose? Is it because I'm fat SHHHH (Steve don't know that) and they just want to scare me into losing weight?
The reason I had the tests in the first place was because my family doctor told me that women's arteries tend to get narrow instead of just blocking.. So my ears were very alert to hear the word narrow after the test was complete.. But just to be sure I asked Steve if they had told him anything and he said yes they told him that they were narrow too.. So I'm not crazy!!!
I receive the great news and happy that I have a healthy heart, and I will buy that bike and get some of this weight off.. So I guess their scare tactics did work somewhat LOL.. I have been shut in since Wednesday with a bad cold and wheezing so what else can I go through? I suppose I will survive!!
GPS!!! What great new technology! A device that is either built in your car or now you can even purchase one and add it to your car. For those who do not know what a GPS is, it is a navigating system that helps you find your way to where ever you want to go!! You key in your destination address, and the GPS will speak to you telling you where and when to turn.. Amazing technology!!
I just wish I could attach one to my behind to tell me where I was going when I got up to do something important, and forgot what I was going to do on the way there!! Now that would be helpful!!
